Summer is in full swing in Nice and the French Riviera. You can feel the buzz here, the tourists are back as if COVID had never existed! New spots are popping up all over town, and there are countless events of all kinds in the region. The programme for July 2023 in Nice and the French Riviera was already packed, and we’re continuing in the same vein for August: fireworks, concerts on private beaches, nightlife by the sea, music festivals, cultural events… We don’t know where to turn!
Don’t worry, I’m here to suggest a list of events you might enjoy in August, so let’s go
1. Les Plages Electroniques
August kicks off with the famous ‘les plages électroniques’ music festival, which takes place every year on the beaches of Cannes. It’s one of the biggest electronic music events in the region, attracting thousands of festival-goers and music fans from all over the world. This year, the festival takes place from 4 to 6 August. More than 50 internationally renowned artists will be performing, including DJ SNAKE and Armin Van Buuren, and there will be 7 stages where a whole host of artists will be performing

The programme is marked by the diversity of the shows to satisfy as many people as possible. So you can choose to attend either a comedy-themed evening or a special opera evening. It’s up to you to choose the day to suit your tastes. These events take place in the magnificent amphitheatre at Villa Barbary
As Villa Nights began in July, here is the programme for August

3. The Jasmine Festival in Grasse
The weekend of 4 to 6 August is sure to be an eventful one. After the electronic beaches and the villa nights, it’s on to Grasse for the Jasmine Festival, also taking place from 4 to 6 August. And what other town could organise this festival better than Grasse! Since 1946, the town of Grasse has been celebrating jasmine and paying tribute to all its growers and creators. Indeed, the jasminum grandiflorum plant has been cultivated in Grasse since the middle of the 19th century. So it’s only natural that Grasse, the city of perfume, should dedicate an entire day to this superb, sweet-smelling plant
