The more the years go by, the more Nice modernizes itself and new trendy places settle down for the greatest happiness of the Nice inhabitants. For a Parisian like me, in need of “Big City Life”, this is a relief. At the moment, one of the places that is doing well is the Amour Nice hotel.
Already established in the capital with the small Amour hotel in Paris in the 9th arrondissement and the larger one in the 10th arrondissement, the chic Parisian hotel has set up shop on the French Riviera just a few metres from the Promenade des Anglais.
Now “the Place to Be”, the Amour Nice hotel gives a little more life and modernity to the city of Nice which was lacking a little (especially in winter) as well as the ramparts of Saint Paul de Vence.
1. The Amour hotel in Nice
Located far from the busy areas of the city centre, the Amour hotel in Nice has chosen to set up in a quiet and intimate place. More precisely at 3 avenue des Fleurs, 500 metres from the Promenade des Anglais. In addition to this daring choice, one of the particularities that differentiates it from other hotels is its particularly atypical decoration. Indeed, the hotel offers a decoration which combines both tradition and modernity. As soon as you enter the hotel, you immediately notice the vintage furniture in the arty deco style as well as the comfort of the sofas and armchairs. The perfect combo for a drink, dinner with friends and good Mediterranean food. After thirty years in Paris, I finally found the familiarity that I missed so much in Nice.
2. The restaurant
It is the meeting point between the Parisian bistro and the Mediterranean cuisine inspired by Greek taverns. All the products have been sourced in the Greek town of Kalamata and come from local farmers. Moreover, the restaurant of the Love Hotel is part of my TOP 10 of the best restaurants in Nice, a place not to be missed if you are visiting the city. Indeed, you will succumb to the Mediterranean and Greek cuisine of the place: pita breads, halloumi, grilled sheep’s cheese, calamari and many other things. There are different menus for different times of the day, depending on whether you want to have brunch, lunch and/or dinner.
For your information, you have a specific room for the restaurant covered by a glass roof that provides good light during the day. There is also a more convivial and relaxed area where you can sit on banquets and cushions, more suitable for aperitifs. Not forgetting the bar, but which offers too few seats for my taste… The choice is yours!

3. The private beach of the Hotel Amour Nice
The private beaches of the French Riviera are the places we look forward to in summer. Eating with your feet in the sand is a luxury. Although here you’ll have pebbles rather than sand and it’s even better in terms of cleanliness. The private beach of the Hotel Amour Nice is located at 47 promenade des anglais. As in the hotel, there is the restaurant, the bar, the benches and this time, the deckchairs and the parasols. You can eat Niçois dishes prepared with local products, for lunch and dinner, at the table or under the deckchair to perfect your tan, it’s up to you.
In addition, the drinks menu offers good natural wine, home-made cocktails and local beers.

4. The rooms and the Rooftop
Even if we go to the hotel amour nice mainly for a drink or dinner, the hotel Amour offers 38 rooms. All of them have an authentic decoration in the colours of the south with a unique charm. The view is not their strong point, so you should choose rooms on a higher floor. On the other hand, discretion and intimacy are the order of the day. Rates: between 62€ and 300€ per night.

You will also find a rooftop on the 7th floor of the building with a swimming pool to cool down and sunbathe all day as well as a terrace for lunch. If you did not opt for the view from your room, you can make up for it with the rooftop which offers a 360° panoramic view of the roofs of Nice’s buildings, the hills and the sea. This strategic location makes this terrace one of the best rooftops in Nice that you must try.
