The city of Nice continues its evolution in the modernization with the arrival of a new restaurant and not just any restaurant! Indeed, it’s Latin America that arrives on the French Riviera with the new cocktail bar restaurant ICO (not to be confused with IKKO from ikko ramen, a famous Japanese restaurant in Nice).
1. 100% South American cuisine
Finally an place worthy of a great capital such as Paris or London which will attract a good number of Nice residents and tourists. Indeed, ICO restaurant is an exceptional place in Nice (and I weigh my words) where you can discover a typically South American cuisine. A real pleasure when you know how much the city is invaded by Italian and Mediterranean restaurants! So, I don’t hide my joy to see Nice opening a little more to the world…
In their menu, you will discover very “caliente” tapas to share with friends. You will have the choice between tacos, churros, ceviche, bao… Added to that, cocktails to fall on the ground (special mention for pina colada champagne!).
All this in a green and colourful decoration. Beware, ICO is taking us to the jungle!
2. Change of atmosphere
If you want to stay for a drink and change the atmosphere without necessarily changing restaurants, ICO restaurant has everything planned! Head to the first floor for a more subdued and intimate atmosphere with good electro lounge music (note the presence of a DJ every Friday night).
Finally, a mood that reminds me so much of my evenings in Paris and that I missed so much in Nice! Fortunately, the Hôtel Amour Nice restaurant located at 3 rue des fleurs has been able to compensate for this lack in recent years.
3. Useful information about Ico Restaurant
Address: 18 rue Biscarra, Nice – in a discreet street behind Jean Médecin, which I rarely or never visit. So it’s an opportunity to discover new places (it’s a change from the Promenade des Anglais, the old Nice and the pedestrian zone!)
Opening hours: monday to Sunday from 12pm to midnight
