Hello lovely readers!
We’re back on the blog to talk about “food” as usual. After offering you a shortlist of the top Japanese and vegetarian restaurants to discover in Nice, today I’m sharing my latest discoveries on brunch in Nice.
I’ve discovered about ten of them, but I’ve decided to split them into two parts. For the record, this list is not a ranking, just a list of brunch ideas, each with its own culinary style.
1. HOBO COFFEE
Definitely one of my favorites! This small restaurant in the heart of Vieux-Nice, 200 meters from Place Rossetti, offers a good combination of “Coffee/Food/Drinks” in a bohemian and atypical atmosphere. The service is top-notch. Their Anglo-Saxon accent makes you feel like you’ve been transported out of Nice for lunch.
In addition to their usual dishes, they offer a brunch for 25 euros and another brunch for 30 euros (with the option of squeezed orange juice).
The brunch includes the following ingredients: Viennoiserie, Hard-boiled egg, Cheese, Charcuterie, Avocado toast, Fruit salad, Bread, butter & jam
Vegetarian options are also available.
The restaurant is located at 5 Bis Rue Sainte-Reparate, 06300 Nice, France
You can make a reservation by calling 06 71 06 32 81
Open Monday to Sunday, 9am to 8pm
2. LA PAIROLIERE
We’re still in Vieux-Nice, not even 100 meters from the famous René Socca restaurant, which serves the best of Nice’s specialties. But let me reassure you, we’re sticking to the brunch theme, and with good reason: not far from René Socca, you’ll find a charming restaurant on the corner, whose warm facades won’t go unnoticed. Welcome to La Pairolière! This restaurant has always caught my eye, with its terracotta facades, pastel green and wood furnishings and pretty terrace surrounded by greenery.
So when I saw that they were offering brunch from 9am to 12pm, I jumped at the chance: scrambled eggs with a side of bacon and soft French toast served on pretty plates and, frankly, well decorated. I had a real moment of Niçoise sweetness under the blazing southern sun.
The restaurant is located at 15 Rue Pairolière, 06300 Nice

Open Monday to Sunday, 9am to 10pm
3. COMME UN DIMANCHE
Leaving Vieux-Nice, I’ll take you 200 meters from the port to “Comme un dimanche”. A classic in Nice. It’s not my favorite, but everyone around me is a fan. What’s more, it’s one of the city’s most famous brunches. Their menu is very varied and comprehensive. The dishes are quite hearty and very well decorated. The team is cool and dynamic; for my part, I found it very heavy on the cream..
The restaurant is located at 10 Rue Lascaris, 06300 Nice
I highly recommend making a reservation on 04 23 13 33 12
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
4. CLAY
Head to the Pines district for CLAY’s superb brunch. The team will welcome you in a very cute and cosy place with a south-facing terrace in full sun, a strong point not necessarily found in the restaurants of old Nice … So… if you can combine sun and brunch, why deprive yourself.
The restaurant offers a very varied menu: toast, bowls, pancakes, fresh homemade juices…and so on. The dishes are delicious, hearty and beautifully decorated. The service is impeccable: when my friend ordered a matcha latte, her order was forgotten, so we had to call the waiter back, who finally decided to offer her her matcha latte after this oversight. A true sense of service!
The restaurant is located at 3 Rue Bonaparte, 06300 Nice, France
I highly recommend making a reservation at 06 27 36 58 71
Open Monday to Saturday (except Wednesday) from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
5. LA MARINETTE
Back in Vieux Nice, a small alleyway houses the famous Marinette Kitchen.
The terrace is really nice. Intimate and bohemian at the same time, this alleyway offers just one restaurant: marinette kitchen. This gives you the impression of being a little cut off from the crowds, and especially from the tourists buzzing around the pretty, colorful facades of the old town.
The restaurant is located at 13 Rue Colonna d’Istria, 06300 Nice
I strongly recommend that you make a reservation by calling 04 93 88 29 52
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 8:30am to 6pm.
