Hello friends,
i’m back on the blog to tell you about my wonderful day in Gourdon village. I was looking for somewhere breathtaking enough to give my British Boy a run for his money. I hesitated between Vence, Gourdon and l’Estérel… In the end, I chose Gourdon village, one of the most beautiful villages on the French Riviera and in France, for its breathtaking view of Nature and its 80km-long panoramic view between Nice and Théoule. The village is also known for its impressive position on an eagle’s nest, perched over 790 meters high. Everyone I’ve taken to visit Gourdon village has been incredibly impressed… And I didn’t miss a beat for my British!
Let’s take a closer look at what there is to discover in this small but breathtaking medieval village.
Gourdon village: things to do and see
for starters:
- If there’s one thing I’d recommend you do first, it’s simply stroll through the narrow streets of the village and get in touch with the soul of the place. You’ll be captivated by the authenticity and charm of the stone houses, the narrow lanes, the little craft stores..
- But there’s no denying that the real attraction of this village is its incredible view of nature. Gourdon village overlooks the Vallée du Loup and offers a stunning panoramic view of the Alpes Maritimes. I love to sit for long minutes and admire this view, which allows me to reconnect with something greater, with the cosmos, with the soul of the world.
