Terre Adélice, the 100% organic ice cream parlour in Old Nice

As you know, I’m a big fan of ice cream, and over the last 10 years I’ve had the opportunity to try out a large number of ice cream parlors in Nice. And if you’re coming a weekend in Nice, it’s a must for your taste buds. Every year, the ice cream market grows steadily, and I keep discovering new ice cream shops opening their doors to my delight. Well, I have to admit that I do have my little favorites. Although, I’m always delighted to try out new places.

As I was queuing outside Fenocchio one summer evening in old Nice, I remembered a brand new artisanal ice cream parlour that had just opened its doors in April 2024: Terre Adélice. Without a second’s hesitation, I left my seat and headed off in the direction of this new ice cream parlour that had caught my eye.

Terre Adélice has its origins in Ardèche. It’s a family business created by 2 brothers in 1996, and has since expanded to the south-east of France, in Nice!

Terre Adélice Nice, a 100% organic artisan ice-cream maker

Unlike other artisanal ice cream shops in Nice, this one is 100% organic and, above all, offers flavors I’ve never seen anywhere else (not even at fenocchio, the classic): black sesame, bell pepper, goat’s curd cheese, tomato basil, matcha green tea… For the more classic flavors, I assure you you’ll also find the unconditional ones: strawberry, yogurt, mango, passion, chocolate..

In all, Terre Adélice in Nice offers 57 palettes of organic fragrances. You can also order a milshake or iced tea.

For my part, I opted for the black sesame and it was just EX-CE-LLENT! Visually, it’s not exactly appealing, but the sales clerk kindly asked me if I’d like a taste, and I was hooked from the first bite. I went back a second time and this time I took two scoops: Black Sesame (I can’t get enough of it) and RED PEPPER! Oh yes, I dared, I like to test all the most far-fetched tastes possible. Verdict: it was a dinguerie!

Our ice creams and sorbets are certified organic. Materials such as pots and spoons are made from cardboard and renewable fibers. Everything is produced with respect for the environment.
