Hey lovely readers,
i’m back on the site to talk to you about a subject that will speak to a lot of freelancers and students. As you know, ever since I started freelancing 100% of the time, the question of where I could work other than at home started to cross my mind, as it has for you freelancers reading this article… After a while, it became essential to separate my place of residence from my professional activity for a number of reasons (airing my mind, seeing people, getting out of my bubble, stimulating my creativity…). So I started looking at coworking spaces in Nice, but the prices were frankly exorbitant (around 300/400 euros a month). A few years ago, I was still a member of the metropolitan Cap 3000 club, where I could work as I liked in their coworking space (for €149 a month at the time, with access to a gym and spa), but now that my membership has come to an end, I’ve turned to the cafés in Nice with free WIFI access.
Honestly, I thought I’d only find a few cafés in Nice (like 2/3 at the most), but the reality was quite different. The Nice landscape has changed a lot since the pandemic, and new residents have moved in, especially foreigners, so the businesses are adapting and evolving in the same direction. This is how I came to witness an explosion of coffee shops in Nice with free WIFI, much to my delight! From now on, I’ll be browsing between these 11 coffee shops, which allows me to break a certain routine and see different people.
Of course, even if it goes without saying, out of respect for the place that offers this service, I always order a latte with a sweet or sometimes, I even have lunch there. I stay for 1 or even 2 hours if it’s not too busy. What’s more, most of these coffee shops offer the best brunches in Nice (like Café Fino, la Popote d’Ondine, Hobo Café…).
